Traceability

With the Traceability function in Yamaha YSUP software, you can instantly access critical information—whether by product name, machine name, search history, or production parts. Quickly find details on parts, machines, carts, reels, and PCBs using their ID, ensuring seamless operations and smarter decision-making.

Quickly Search by PCB Name

The Traceability module of the Yamaha YSUP software allows you to search for a range of information including the PCB name.

Easily Search by PCB ID to Identify Corresponding Parts

Use the ‘Search Parts / PCB’ function to quickly find the parts used in a specific PCB by entering its corresponding PCB ID.

Export Options

Export Parts ID, Lot ID, and Reel ID. Search results can be exported as a CSV.

Search Error

Error event details can be retrieved using the error ID or machine name.

Search Products

Parts information (error count, error ratio, etc.) for each PCB is saved in Trace Data and is searchable.

All Image Tracer (AIT)

The system captures and stores all images from the mounter, creating an offline image database. Using dedicated software, users can efficiently search and display AOI images for analysis.

Advantages:

  • Offline Storage: Images are saved on an offline PC, ensuring data security.
  • Easy Search: Dedicated viewer software or dashboard allows quick image search.
  • Side-by-Side Display: N-point matching AOI images can be compared side-by-side.
  • High Performance: Installing SSDs on the mounter ensures fast storage without performance loss.
  • Inclusive Storage: Side view images are also stored for comprehensive analysis.
  • Defect Diagnosis: Quickly determine if recognition or absorption issues are causing defects.

Images are captured by cameras inside the monitors. Customers can easily search and view images, with integration to the Dashboard for N-point image matching.

Example: Utilising Traceability (T-Tools) To Check And Trace Reels.

When visual checks can’t differentiate components, such as capacitors that look visually identical but are available in different frequencies (e.g. 10uF or 100nF).

  • TRACING A PART AND THE REELS CONTAINING THE PART, BASED ON SERIAL NUMBERS

The testing team reported a range of PCBs failing the functional test, suspecting an issue with the 10uF SMD capacitor. The SMT team will trace the part and its reel based on the provided serial numbers. The testing team will test the reel, give feedback on any issues, and apply countermeasures.

  • UTILISE YAMAHA’S LCR FEEDER CHECKER WHEN VISUAL INSPECTION WON’T WORK.

This error can’t be detected by the AOI, as 10uF and 100nF capacitors of standard sizes (0402, 0603, or 1005) look similar. The only way to check is by measuring the value.
